About Us
My name is Jean Kimball, and I am the Chair of the Essay Contest. I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to California as a toddler, growing up in Inglewood, California. I attended Catholic school for 12 years before enrolling at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics.
For the next 12 years, I worked in the Interior Design industry, initially as a designer and later managing a wholesale showroom that sold furniture and fabrics. I also worked as a kitchen designer before transitioning to a career in education. I spent 27 years teaching in elementary schools. After retiring, I relocated to Florida and have been actively involved in the Santa Rosa County Republican Club for the past four years. I was honored to be asked to chair the Essay Contest and have been dedicated to this role ever since.
The Santa Rosa Republican Club is committed to promoting conservative values and supporting our community through various initiatives, including our annual essay contest. Our mission is to engage and educate citizens on the importance of civic participation and the principles of the Republican Party.
We host regular meetings, events, and educational programs to foster a sense of community and encourage active involvement in the political process. Join us to make a difference in our community and beyond.
